The Maker Faire team is getting ready for the 5th annual Maker Faire Bay Area and wanted to take a moment to thank you for your support and share with you a few things that will help make your Maker Faire experience even better. Please take a moment to review the checklist below:

Maker Faire - May 22nd and 23rd, 2010 (rain or shine) San Mateo County Expo Center - 1346 Saratoga Drive, San Mateo. Hours are: Saturday: 10am - 8pm (ticket booths open at 9am)  -  Sunday: 10am - 6pm. Tickets ordered now will be mailed out to you - remember to bring them with you for easy access. Our last scheduled ticket mailing will be Friday, May 14th 2010)

Entrance Gates - There are three entrances to Maker Faire: the East Gate, West Gate and a Satellite Gate (located on the south west end of the San Mateo Expo Center). Outlined below is a list of recommended Gate options for you based on where you park, or your method of transportation to the event:
  • East Gate * San Mateo Event Center Lot (Saratoga entrance) - $17.00/day * Franklin Templeton Parking Lots - FREE (complimentary shuttles or 10-15 minute walk)
  • West Gate * Booster Parking Lot (NE corner of 25th Ave. & Delaware) - $25.00/day * Kmart and Crossroads Lots - FREE (complimentary shuttles or a 20-30 minute walk) * City Hall and Serra High School lots - FREE (no shuttles walk only 20-30 minute walk)
  • Satellite Gate * Hayward Park Caltrain Station - $3.00/day (complimentary shuttles or a 10-15 minute walk) * Hillsdale Caltrain Station - $3.00/day (complimentary shuttles or a 10-15 minute walk)
